綜合外媒報導，2021年12月中旬時，這頭重約400磅的海福特（Hereford heifer）小母牛，從紐約皇后區一處屠宰場逃脫後，跑到了紐約法拉盛草原可樂娜公園（Flushing Meadows Corona Park），警察及相關動保單位獲報後，便立即前往現場圍捕。

圍捕成功後，紐約警方表示，這頭小母牛估計有9個月大，本來可能要成為聖誕節牛排大餐了，不過牠奮力一逃、成功擺脫了這個命運，如今牠有了自己的名字「史黛西」（Stacy），並將在紐澤西的動物保護區Skylands Animal Sanctuary And Rescue展開新生活！

動物保護區替史黛西安排了一系列檢查，9個月大的牠身體健康狀況一切正常，接著過了隔離期後史黛西也被安排入住Skylands保護區，在那裡有大約450名「永久居民」，都是從屠宰場、農場或者宗教儀式等救援出來的，其中有93頭牛當牠的新室友、新鄰居，也不用再像之前一樣被圈養，而是擁有自由開闊的生活環境，並且確保飲食起居正常及有適當的獸醫護理～
